KOICA is currently a sponsor of the "Korea-Vietnam Peace Village Project" (KV-PVP) project in three provinces: Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai, and Binh Dinh.
The meeting aimed to understand the functions, activities, and operational methods of the Hue DBU. Mr. Tran Cong Phu, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Foreign Affairs Department, presided over the session.
The KOICA delegation engaged in focused discussions regarding the data reporting procedures for Hue DBU. Moreover, Mr. Kwon Koosoon expressed high regard for the achievements of Hue DBU and expressed a desire to learn from DBU's model to replicate it in the remaining two provinces within the KV-PVP project.
The HUE DBU welcomed and worked with representatives from the KOICA in Vietnam.
On the afternoon of June 3, 2024, the Mine Action Data Unit of Thua Thien Hue Province met with a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency led by Mr. Kwon Koosoon, Chief Advisor of the KV-PVP project, UNDP in Vietnam. The delegation also included Mr. Jeong Tae-Seong, Head of the Mine Action Safety Team; Professor Byeon Jina from Sangmyeong University; and Ms. Shin Dasom, Project Officer from Jangan University.
