On the morning of September 12, 2024, the Thua Thien Hue Province Mine Action Database Unit (Hue DBU) organized a workshop titled "Introduction workshop mine action database unit of Thua Thien Hue province" in A Luoi district.

At the workshop, representatives from the Mine Action Database Unit of Thua Thien Hue Province provided an overview of the project, including the pollution situation and the history of mine action efforts prior to the project's establishment, as well as the project's needs and objectives. The delegates at the workshop were also introduced to related databases.

The workshop helped local authorities and organizations operating in A Luoi district understand the information about mine action activities remaining from the war in the area. It also opened up discussions on integrating mine action activities into the local socio-economic development plans, supporting victims, and educating the public on mine accident prevention.
